Ken okiishi


Ken Okiishi (b.1978) troubles the vocabulary of the media that he uses. His works hover over and within relationships between matter and memory, perception and action, image-networks and media systems.

Okiishi’s work has been shown in numerous solo exhibitions, recent include The Museum of Modern Art (New York, 2021); University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Art Gallery (Honolulu, 2021–22); Pilar Corrias (London, 2019); Fundació Gaspar (Barcelona, 2016); Museum Ludwig (Cologne, 2014–15); MIT List Visual Arts Center (Cambridge, 2013); Hessel Museum of Art (Annandale-on-Hudson, 2013); and Take Ninagawa (Tokyo, various years).
