The vision for the project comes from years of interacting with and operating inside the traditional art market as a writer, critic, and friend. During her Bachelor’s degree at Parsons The New School of Design, Vilda Krog examined the continued prospect of artistic existence within the technological advancement of the West-world, alongside the immaterial transformation, Copernicazation, of late capital.
habitat is the solution-proposal and stands as a novel chapter where practical and theoretical studies align, set out initiate change in how metropolitans treat, (re)prioritise and (re)value cultural creation.
The research acknowledges;
– the increasingly critical conditions of art in urban cities,
– the internationally decreasing cultural funding,
– art’s economic value, and considers it joined with that of cultural,
– digital migration as a stepping stone for culture at the center of cities,
– the critical conditions of the current Western order, which is not far from the uncertainty that penetrated the world during the creation of the Almanac; times when democratic broadcast is crucial.
Above all the research honors the faithful, resilient, artist as the novel author of her chosen saga, but no movement is a one-man’s-tale.
