Karl Holmqvist (b. 1964, Sweden) is a Berlin-based artist known for his experimental use of language across poetry, video, installation, and performance. Drawing from pop culture and political texts, his minimalist works challenge meaning through repetition, wordplay, and sound. Holmqvist has exhibited internationally, including at the Moderna Museet and Camden Arts Centre.

Karl Holmqvist utilizes various media – including performance, painting, sculpture, film, video, audio, and design. Holmqvist has held solo shows at the Camden Art Center, London, U.K.; The Power Station, Dallas, TX; Bergen Kunsthall, Bergen, Norway; and Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Sweden.
