David Ostrowski (b.1981) has produced a body of work that revolves around the idea of reduction, an interplay between nothingness and poeticization beyond cultural and painterly codes. Ostrowski’s paintings are products of a desire to eliminate painterly knowledge, a freedom of seeing.

Ostrowski’s work has been shown in numerous solo exhibitions, recent include Sprüth Magers (New York, 2024); Sprüth Magers (Berlin, 2021); Aranya Art Center (Beidaihe, 2025); ARKEN Museum of Modern Art (Ishøj, 2015); Almine Rech (Paris, 2014); Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Turin, 2014); and Rubell Museum (Miami, 2014). His work has also been featured in group exhibitions at Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) (London, 2014); Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Turin, 2014); M Woods Museum (Beijing, 2015); Aïshti Foundation (Beirut, 2018); and Sprüth Magers (Seoul, 2023).
