habitat is founded by the Swedish story-teller Vilda Krog.
Krog’s vision for the project comes from years of interacting with and operating inside the traditional art market as a writer, critic, and friend. Through previous research performed at Parsons, The New School of Design, 2021-25, Krog has examined the continued prospect of artistic existence within the technological advancement of the West-world, alongside the immaterial transformation, Copernicazation, of late capital. habitat is a novel research and a new chapter where practical and theoretical studies are aligned, set out to make longstanding change to how metropolitans treat, (de)prioritise and (de)value cultural creation.
The research acknowledges;
– art’s economic value, and considers it joined with that of cultural,
– digital migration as a stepping stone for culture at the center of cities,
– the urgency of re-locating online experience offline
– the critical conditions of the current Western order, which is not far from the uncertainty that penetrated the world during the creation of the Almanac; times in which socialistic and democratic broadcast is crucial.
Above all the research honors the faithful, resilient, artist as the novel author of her chosen saga, but no movement is a one-man’s-tale.
